The Castle was built in baroque style was the home of the Apponyi family in the 18th century. Today is the 4-star Count Apponyi Castle Hotel is surrounded by the beautiful knolls of the county of Tolna in the middle of a 5,5 acres sized park. During the renovation hte original architectural character were left in the rooms and halls. The castle, furnished inan elegant baronial style, is an island of peace, far away from the stressful world.
Accomodation: There are 31 rooms in the 4-star castle, and 29 rooms in a separate 3-star building called Elysium, refurbished in a modern, youngish and scandinavian style, 80 m far away from the castle.
- Castle****: 4 apartments and 27 standard, superior and deluxe double rooms await its guests. 2 of the rooms are specially equipped for people with disabilities. The standard rooms have a bathroom with shower, the superior rooms and the apartments have a bathroom either with a shower or a bathtub. The only difference between the rooms is the size. All the superior rooms are over 30 m2, the apartments are between 34-60 m2 with 2 rooms. Every room has got a television, a minibar, a telephone, a safe, a bathrobe and a hairdryer in the bathroom.
- Elysium***: the simle and youngish style building has 26 standard, superior and deluxe double rooms and 3 apartments which offers the same comfort as the casrtle rooms. Each superior room and the apartments have a balcony or a terrace.
Restaurant: On the ground floor of the Hotel you can find our Restaurant Mercy, which has got two rooms joint by a domed wall, seats are available for 100 people. The guests can choose from a'la carte and half-board catering. The terrace is an ideal place for grillparty, for smaller meetings up to 50 persons. Café Antonia is a nice place for having a pleasant conversation, a drink, an icecream or for reading the daily newspaper.
Wellness and relaxation: The 51,5 °C warm water is the main attraction of the wellness centre. There are two round thermal pools (36-38 °C) and a 10x20 m swimming pool (27 °C) waiting for those who want to enjoy themselves in the spa. The use of the 3 pools, the 4 light and aroma therapy saunas, the infra cabin and the fittness room is free of charge for the hotelguests. There is a sunbathing terrace available ae well in summer. Other paying services: massages, baths, body treatments and packs, solarium.
Conference possibilities: The 4 elegant rooms are named by excellent composers (Liszt, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven) and can be found on the first floor. They open from each other through 2-wing doors. The inner court of the castle is ideal for business or family parties, car exhibitions up to 200 persons. In the consecrated Chapel of the castle weddings, christenings, masses can be taken place or even organ concerts.
