Red Poppy Apartment is situated 10-12 minutes from the center of Budapest, 200 meters away from Orczy tér (square). You can be at Astoria or at Keleti Railway Station within 10-12 minutes by the nearby public transport (bus no. 9, tram no. 24 and 28) from where you can discover the city by the underground M2 and numerous bus, tram and trolley-bus lines. The shopping during your stay is possible in the opposite building or in the markets located in the nearby street.
Accommodation: Red Poppy Retro Apartment awaits its guests on the 4th floor of a classical downtown building with ambulatory and lift, built in the early years of 1900. The air-conditioned flat of 46 sqm consists of an anteroom, a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen with dining table, a bathroom with tub, a separate toilet and wardrobe. You can find a double bed in the bedroom and a fold out sofa bed for 2 persons in the living room, so the flat offers comfortable accommodation up to 4 persons. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, dishes, glasses, cutleries and plates. The pavement of the rooms of the renovated flat is covered by parquet while the payment of the kitchen, the bathroom and the toilet are covered by stone. The heating is individually controllable.
One of the main characteristic of the apartment is the artistic, retro furniture one of which part dates back to earlier than 1960 but still is in excellent condition. The TV, radio, record player and Singer sewing-machine decorating the living room that still work and remained from the years between 1950 and 80, make surprise our younger guests but they may arise some nostalgic memories in others.
The walls painted in bright colours and youthful decorations make cheerful the atmosphere of the two-room flat.
On previous request animals (small dog, cat, etc.) are accepted without extra charge but you have to pay a deposit for the time of the stay.
Other services: The use of the bed-linen and towels, the liquid soap, the toilet paper and the dishwasher liquid are provided in the apartment and are included in the price. The air-conditioning is available for extra charge.
Payment: Unfortunately we can’t accept credit cards. Payment is made upon arrival in cash.
Parking: Our guests arriving by car can park in the underground garage next to the building of the apartment for extra charge.
